Held across two dedicated sessions, one at the Robotimize showroom and one at Novotel Kuala Lumpur, the event brought clinicians, engineers and researchers together for direct, cross-disciplinary dialogue. Attendees included clinicians from hospitals and rehabilitation centres, biomedical engineers, academic researchers and industry partners from across the region, reflecting a shared ambition among speakers and participants alike: to close the gap between engineering innovation and clinical rehabilitation. The morning session opened with introductory remarks from Kerry Guo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Robotimize Group, setting the tone for the day ahead. Dr. Nur Azah Hamzaid of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya, together with Associate Professor Dr. Norhamizan Hamzah of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. The session examined the growing applications of technology within rehabilitation and explored the role that engineering and academic research play in transforming clinical practice, prompting extended questions from clinicians in the audience on how such research translates into everyday practice.

The programme continued in the evening with a second session, Redefining Mirror Therapy Through Robotic Integration: HandVivante™ MirrorHand, held at Novotel Kuala Lumpur. Professor Huang Jian-Jia (Charles), founder of Rehabotics Medical Technology Corporation and Assistant Professor at Chang Gung University, was joined by Professor Yu Cheng Pei, MD, PhD, Director and attending physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Together, the two presented clinical data and validation findings on the use of robotic integration in mirror therapy, drawing on years of joint research between engineering and rehabilitation medicine and covering patient outcomes observed across stroke recovery and upper-limb rehabilitation. The session included an exclusive deep dive into the HandVivante™ MirrorHand technology, followed by a hands-on demonstration that allowed attendees to experience the device firsthand and to raise direct questions with both clinicians on patient selection, therapy protocols and clinical applications.
