Lumu, the creators of the Continuous Compromise Assessment® security model, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted the company U.S. Patent No. 12,712,891 B2, titled “Systems and Methods for Mitigation and Remediation of Cybersecurity Threats.” This patent protects the proprietary AI-first architecture and autonomous response mechanisms that power Lumu Autopilot, the company’s flagship incident management technology.

The patented technology enables the system to autonomously determine and execute response actions such as isolating affected network segments, blocking malicious traffic, modifying firewall rules, deploying patches, and alerting administrators.
