Dexco Adds U.S. Epoxy Insulation Line for Busbars Rated to 38 kV

New fluidized-bed line at the Burlington, N.C., facility expands domestic production of insulated busbars and components for data center and utility customers

BURLINGTON, NC, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dexco, an IMX Power company, has added a new fluidized-bed epoxy insulation line at its Burlington, North Carolina, facility, expanding the company’s ability to manufacture insulated copper busbars and electrical components for U.S. customers.

The new line can produce finished components rated up to 38 kV and brings epoxy coating work that has been performed within IMX Power’s manufacturing network at IMMSA into Dexco’s operation. Customers can now source fabricated and insulated components from a single facility, reducing the need for outside finishing and helping shorten production lead times.

The fluidized-bed process provides a consistent epoxy coating designed to deliver dielectric insulation, mechanical durability and corrosion resistance. HiPot testing is also available for finished components.

The investment builds on recent additions to Dexco’s operation, including bar-punching and horizontal-bending equipment. Together, the new capabilities allow Dexco to handle more of the busbar manufacturing process in-house, from fabrication through insulation.
