King opened a small law practice in Rancho Cucamonga that has since grown into a three-attorney family-run personal injury firm.

Today, Justin practices alongside his brothers, Jonathan L. King and Oliver P. King. The firm represents clients in car and other motor-vehicle accidents, wrongful-death matters, motorcycle and truck collisions, premises-liability cases, dangerous conditions of public property, catastrophic injuries and other personal injury claims throughout the Inland Empire and Southern California.

“I want to grow; I want to serve more people,” Justin King said in an anniversary interview. “However, I never want to lose that personal touch.”

That philosophy dates to the firm’s earliest days. When King opened the practice in August 2016, he worked from a one-room subleased office with a laptop and two chairs for clients. Office calls were routed directly to his cell phone, and he handled nearly every aspect of the practice himself.

One of King’s earliest prospective clients came after a car accident. His first son had been born the previous day, but King left the hospital and drove to a McDonald’s in Upland to meet a prospective client who had been involved in what he remembers as a relatively minor rear-end collision.

“I was out on my own and I had to hustle,” King recalled. “I felt like I had to do everything I could to ensure that my new endeavor was successful.”

Car and motor-vehicle accidents remain a major part of the firm’s practice 10 years later, while The Law Offices of Justin H. King also represents clients in wrongful death, trucking and commercial-vehicle collisions, motorcycle and bus accidents, pedestrian and bicycle injuries, premises liability, traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries and other serious personal injury matters.

Experience on Both Sides of Personal Injury Litigation:

One aspect of Justin King’s professional background is his prior experience representing defendants before focusing his practice on injured plaintiffs.

King began his career in plaintiff-side class-action litigation and later worked in insurance defense. Super Lawyers reports that he defended numerous personal-injury matters through trial during that period.

King said the experience gave him insight into how injury claims may be evaluated from the defense side, including how information is communicated between defense counsel and insurance carriers and how an insurer’s assessment may evolve as evidence is developed and a case approaches trial.

That perspective now informs the firm’s work for injured clients, particularly in motor-vehicle and serious injury cases involving disputed liability, medical causation, insurance coverage or significant long-term damages.

The firm’s automobile-insurance litigation has also included the pending matter Cobos, et al. v. National General Insurance Company, et al., San Bernardino County Superior Court Case No. CIVDS1914609, which was the subject of California Court of Appeal Case No. G063086.

According to the published Court of Appeal opinion, the plaintiffs allege that National General Insurance Company and Integon National Insurance Company improperly denied automobile accident claims and rescinded insurance policies. The Court of Appeal reversed an earlier order denying class certification and remanded the matter for further proceedings.

According to an April 2026 class-certification order entered by the San Bernardino County Superior Court, the court granted class certification and designated attorneys Justin King and Jonathan King of The Law Offices of Justin H. King as Class Counsel. The case remains pending. According to the court-authorized class notice, defendants deny the allegations and dispute liability. Trial is currently scheduled for March 1, 2027.

Three Brothers, Different Backgrounds, One Personal Injury Team:

The firm’s development took another step when Justin’s brothers joined the practice.

Jonathan L. King’s background includes complex commercial litigation and extensive courtroom work. His current firm biography reports that he has litigated 17 jury trials and more than 40 bench trials to verdict.

Oliver P. King’s work includes personal injury, mass torts, class actions and other complex plaintiff-side litigation. He has also served as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, representing professional athletes in contract negotiations.

Both of Justin King’s parents also pursued legal careers. Pamela King practiced as a prosecutor, civil attorney and public defender before serving as a San Bernardino County Superior Court judge. Jeffrey King practiced law before serving on the Superior Court and later on the California Court of Appeal.

Following John Lewis King’s death, members of the regional legal community established the John Lewis King Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist Inland Empire law students.
