DAYTON, OH, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — International Remote Viewing Association Returns to Dayton, Ohio for Its 2026 Annual Conference
The International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing the responsible development and application of remote viewing, announces its 2026 Annual Conference, to be held Thursday, October 1, through Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. This four-day gathering brings researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts together in the historic birthplace of the U.S. military’s remote viewing program.
This year’s conference carries special historical significance. While the science began elsewhere, Dayton is where the application took root. It was here that Dale Graff and the Foreign Technology Division first brought the potential of psychic espionage into the defense establishment, planting the seeds for what would famously become Project Stargate. The history here is electric. Dayton served not only as the launchpad for operational remote viewing but also as the home of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where Project Blue Book, the Air Force’s legendary investigation into UFOs, was headquartered. It is a location defined by a willingness to investigate the unknown, making it a fitting setting to explore the next frontier of nonlocal perception.
The conference will feature four days of lectures, workshops, panels, and hands-on practice sessions led by veteran and emerging researchers and instructors. Among the featured speakers are Dale Graff, whose work with the U.S. Air Force’s Foreign Technology Division played a foundational role in the development of military remote viewing; IRVA founders Paul H. Smith, PhD, Lyn Buchanan, and Angela Thompson Smith, PhD; and other leading voices in the field. Smith spent seven years in the U.S. military’s Stargate program as a viewer, instructor, unit security officer, and historian. Buchanan held various roles in the U.S. Army Remote Viewing Unit from 1984 to 1992. Thompson Smith, an IRVA founder and the organization’s Archivist, is also a member of the IRVA Historical Team, which works to preserve and carry forward the organization’s history and legacy.
The lineup also includes Debra Katz, founder of the International School of Clairvoyance and a guest host on “New Thinking Allowed,” and Hakim Isler, creator of the Psi Games and a specialist in consciousness research and holistic health. A highlight of this year’s program will be a presentation by An-shu Stephen K. Hayes, founder of To-Shin Do and a martial artist widely credited with bringing ninja traditions to the West. Hayes will offer a perspective on the mental discipline at the heart of remote viewing work.
Programming throughout the weekend includes a Thursday evening social, Friday precognition and spoon-bending activities, a Saturday night plated dinner and talent show, and a Sunday outbounder target session, alongside an experiential room and additional activities.
The event will be held at the Marriott at the University of Dayton, 1414 South Patterson Blvd, with a discounted IRVA group room block available to attendees. For those unable to attend in person, a live online virtual conference will stream all main sessions via Zoom, and in-person registrants receive online access at no additional charge.
Registration is open now. Full four-day in-person registration is $497, with single-day and online-only passes also available, plus optional meal plans and member discounts. Full details and registration are available at https://www.irva.org/irva-conference.
What is Remote Viewing?
Remote viewing is the learned ability to perceive and describe people, places, and events beyond ordinary senses, using focused consciousness alone. Unlike many intuitive practices, it follows structured, repeatable protocols developed by scientists and intelligence officers. This combination of intuition and discipline makes it both a practical skill and a profound exploration of human potential.
About IRVA

Founded in 1999, the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the research, education, and practice of remote viewing — the trained ability to perceive distant or unseen targets using only the mind. IRVA was created by pioneering scientists, intelligence professionals, and renowned remote viewers associated with the U.S. military’s Stargate Program, many of whom remain active as board members and participants. The organization was established to preserve remote viewing’s scientific legacy and build a credible global community devoted to exploring the farthest reaches of human consciousness.
Today, IRVA advances research, education, and training in remote viewing. Through IRVA-ED, it offers training at every level. The IRVA Research Unit (IRU) unites experts and explorers in monthly collaborations. Now also home to the Applied Precognition Project (APP), IRVA continues its mission to bridge rigorous scientific methodology with the practical applications of remote viewing.
