Sold out PCC-1 101 training was held at Teadit facility in Pasadena.

PASADENA, Texas, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Teadit hosted a sold-out course this week at its facility in Pasadena, TX. The two-day course, titled “Do You Really Understand the Engineering of Flange Sealing and ASME PCC-1?”, covered a wide range of topics from sealing basics to hands-on examples, with record attendance of local operators and engineers.

This interactive training course explored the fundamentals of ASME PCC-1 and the critical role that gaskets, fasteners, and flanges play in joint performance.

Teadit’s Engineering Manager, Dale Norman, alongside Francisco Duque, Applications Engineer, led the course, emphasizing how minimum and maximum gasket stress, bolt stress, and flange stress interact. “One of the key takeaways from this course was learning how to balance these forces to achieve an effective seal,” said Norman.

Another primary takeaway was understanding the importance of training and record-keeping, as well as equipment selection. “The hands-on activities are especially helpful, to apply the course material, to solve common sealing challenges,” said Duque.

The course concluded with an interactive hands-on session with practical examples, including explanations of calculations and practice, which allowed attendees to apply the lessons learned and reinforce the guidance outlined in ASME PCC-1. Participants then had the opportunity to experience a detailed facility tour.
